Archive-Name: faql.rec.arts.startrek.voy Last updated 18 September 1997 This posting is intended to cut down on questions that seem to pop up daily asking what is coming up in future episodes of "Star Trek: Voyager". It is one of a number of periodic postings posted to r.a.s.*. For a full list of informational postings, please read the "LIST OF PERIODIC POSTINGS" article in rec.arts.startrek.misc. For a list of acronyms used in this (and other) postings, please refer to the "ACRONYM LIST" which can be found in rec.arts.startrek.misc. =========================================================================== 1) Upcoming VOY episodes 2) Unconfirmed Upcoming Episodes 3) Background on the Series =========================================================================== NOTE: I have tons of additions to incorporate to this FAQL, and will get to them as soon as time permits. If you don't want to be spoiled, don't read this! 1) ========== UPCOMING STAR TREK: VOYAGER EPISODES: I MISSED "Investigations": Neelix, a suddenly self-proclaimed journalist, hears a rumor that a fellow crew member has expressed displeasure with Starfleet and requested leave. Soon, Tom Paris is relieved of duty to become a pilot with a Taalaxian convoy - leaving a saddened Voyager crew behind. Almost immediately, the Kazon-Nistim and the scheming Seska attack the Taalaxian fleet, kidnap Paris and attempt to coerce classified information from him. Meanwhile, Neelix suspects someone aboard Voyager has been secretly communicating with the Kazon and his sleuthing leads him directly to Paris. Guest stars include Raphael Sbarge as Michael Jonas, Jerry Sroka as Laxeth, and Simon Billig as Hogan. Written by Jeff Schnaufer and Ed Bond. Teleplay by Jeri Taylor. Directed by Les Landau. 97/02/12 "Unity": 97/02/19 "The Darkling": The Doctor decides to investigate new personalities. Some of them are darker. Directed by Alexander Singer. 97/02/26 "Rise": Voyager crew members are stuck on a planet and Neelix must rescue them. 97/03/05 "": 97/03/12 "": =========================================================================== 2) ========== UNCONFIRMED UPCOMING EPISODES: 96/11/07: Robert Beltran reported that they were shooting a Borg episode for Voyager. It was directed by Robert Duncan McNeill. This next list was sent to me by someone who wishes to remain anonymous. The original document appears to be a list of scripts that have passed the first round of cuts for possibly being used for season four (1997-1998) of Voyager. Take it with the same grain of salt you take with everything found on the net: 1. “The Impervious” - the crew discovers another Starfleet ship in the Delta Quadrant. 2. “Fratricide” - a blue on blue (friendly fire) incident followed by a hectic court martial. 3. “In Harm’s Way” - the crew is gradually drawn into a violent planetary revolution. 4. “Oblivion” - the crew discovers a wormhole that eventually turns into a blackhole. 5. “Two Way Mirror” - a complex synchronic mirror universe show that will start in a Voyager show and end with the following week in DS9 show or the other way around. 6. “Retrograde” - Chakotay suffers from delusions and nightmares about Seska due to a holographic projector she installed in his quarters before crossing over to the Kazon. 7. “Cascade Clause” - a major Maquis mutiny rocks the entire ship after Janeway relives both Chakotay and Torres of their duties. 8. “The Privateers” - a group of daring alien mercenaries helps Voyager out of a tight spot only to make impossible demands in return. 9. “Stormbringers” - the Borg make a second appearance (presumably after a first appearance in the upcoming season 3). No other details are provided so it’s probably a sequel of some sort to that episode. 10. “Labyrinth” - Tuvok goes on a Vulcan holodeck adventure of some sort. 11. “Sphere of Influence” - Janeway successfully arbitrates between two quarreling alien factions only to find herself crowned as their queen. 12. “Retaliation” - after a Maquis crew member is killed during an away mission his buddies embark on an unauthorized reprisal action against the assailants. 13. “The Sentinel” - a prequel to “Threshold” with Cadet Paris in Starfleet Academy. Several prominent Star Trek guest appearances are planned. 14. “Shards of Time” - the crew discovers a Trill ancestor inside a dying Kazon host. 15. “The Breach” - aliens hackers attempt to sabotage the Voyager’s computer core. 16. “Quartered” - Q makes his third appearance as he temporarily brings the Voyager back to the Alpha Quadrant, where he tries to convince the crew that the Federation has been defeated by the Dominion and that they’re better off in the Delta Quadrant. This show will celebrate TNG’s 10th anniversary and will feature part of the TNG cast. =========================================================================== 3) ========== BACKGROUND ON THE SERIES 19 March 1994 Pasadena convention: Lolita Fatjo (script supervisor) reports that VOY will start accepting scripts from fans starting with the second season (similar to TNG and DS9). 21 January 95 Bellvue WA convention: Lolita Fatjo gave the folowing information about Voyager: No TOS or TNG characters will appear on VOY. No Dominion on VOY. They don't plan to have any stories with Wes and/or the Traveller. They plan to use a lot more humor than the previous four Star Trek series have had. early Feb 1995 London con: Rick Berman said that he expects VOY to have a full seven-year run. 16 March 1995 MonadnoCon: Walter Koenig reported that when he asked Paramount about appearing on VOY, they told him they had already considered bringing him in on that series and would let him know when they were ready. early April 1995: Both Garrett Wang and Ethan Phillips have said that they expect Q and the Borg might be showing up in the near future in the Delta Quadrant. 9 March 1996 Vulkon convention: Lolita Fatjo reported that the Voyager will NOT be returning home soon. There are no plans to detail the incident that got Tom Paris kicked out of Starfleet. The Borg will not show up on Voyager until after the movie comes out. VOYAGER NEWS (Paraphased From Voyager Bible) * Chakotay will be given a "habak" program on the Holodeck for the celebration of his people's cermonial cycle. He also has a spirit guide, a timber wolf which appears to him in dreams and visions and guides him in decision-making process. Chakotay is a vegetarian. He served on the Merriac before leaving Starfleet. * The bio-neural circuitry is vulnerable not only to the failure of modalities of traditional circuitry, but anything that can hurt living brain tissue--including heat, pressure, chemical imbalances, nutrient starvation and synaptic diseases. "Broadcasting and Cable" reported that Paramount plans to start offering Voyager for daily syndicated reruns in 1998. Voyager is beamed via satellite Mondays at 17:30 ET on T1-19 (10V). 5.8 mono; 6.2 left; 6.8 right ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This article is Copyright 1990-1998 by Otto Heuer.
