Some people have suggested breaking the Hack Notes up by federation. I'll try it for now (but in the past, a lot of news doesn't fit into a specific federation). WWF: * Some more news that happened during the Titan Tower tour I mentioned last week: JJ Dillon told wrestlers that Vince is changing the drug policy. Unprescribed painkillers and pot now carry the same penalty as coke and steroids (first offense = six-week suspension; second offense = suspension and rehab; third offense = employment termination). * 10/22/95: WWF will have yet another In You House mini-PPV. This one will originate from Winnipeg (where my GF just got back from, but didn't bring a new hockey team). WCW: * 5/22/95: William "The Refrigerator" Perry interviewed with Eric Bischoff about joining up with WCW. WCW actually had the balls to put him through their training school before bringing him in. There's no answer yet on whether he'd be willing to put that much effort into a wrestling career, but Terry Taylor (who has been trining wrestlers at the WCW prep school) said he wouldn't give the Fridge any special treatment and would make sure WP would work harder than he did in his football career. * Speaking of the WCW prep school, Haku (Meng)'s nephew has enrolled. He's a legit 6'3" 260-pounder and a former pro-football player. * WCW is trying to sign Dan Sevrin for a 9/95 UFC-like PPV, but Dan has a no-compete clause in his contract with UFC. They're talking about putting him in a non-booked shoot-fight with Craig Pittman (a legit toughman like Meng) and if Pittman is victorious, publicize the hell out of the win on WCW television shows. ECW: * ECW should be on TV in Charlotte NC in two weeks with a very good time slot on WKAY. * ECW hopes to be on the air in Chicago in a couple months (no station has signed a deadl yet). * Interesting note: Wade Keller mentions "hundreds of fans from around the world congregate on the internet debating the latest topics and exchanging the latest rumors on ECW, many of whom have flown from across the world to see ECW in person in Philadelphia" in last week's Torch. The usual disclaimer: I don't have the time to read an unmoderated newsgroup anymore, so some of this info may already be old.
