face's tag partner (who is arguing
about the heel tactics)). Often

(e.g.: "the Ultimate Warrior blew up

booker.....................(noun) the guy who writes the storylines,
who is in an angle against whom, who
wins, etc.
bump.......................(noun) the result of selling a wrestler's
move, especially an
over-the-top-rope move; a fall or
hit done as a spot
calling....................(verb) to tell your opponent what the next
move will be (calling the
moves/calling the match)
card.......................(noun) a series of matches in one location
on the same day
carny......................(noun) the language spoken by insiders;
spoken quickly and often jumbled
carry......................(verb) help bring the workrate up against a
lesser opponent (e.g.: "Malenko
carried Hulk to a decent match")
clean job..................(noun) a staged loss by legal pinfall or
submission without resorting to
illegalities (e.g.: "Hogan rarely
loses, and has only done two clean

clique.....................(noun) the group of Shawn Michaels and his
friends (who seem to carry some
influence over their angles): Hunter

their opponent

moves without it being in the

smark......................(noun) a mark who is wise to the fakeness

squash.....................(noun) a totally passive match where one
wrestler jobs to another
squash.....................(verb) to win a squash match over a jobber
stiff......................(noun) someone with a low workrate (e.g.:
"Hogan is a stiff")
stiff......................(adj) not pulling any punches; hitting
someone harder than they expect,
but not shooting (e.g.: "Vader

stretch....................(noun) when a goon/policeman sends a
message to a wrestler who is

that connect, may hurt a little,
