(Note that these are not in order of episodes shown except for the first two. Also note that the season breaks may be incorrect and the descriptions may be inaccurate especially in the later episodes, please send me email if you have corrections, additions or comments. A couple of the shows do not have any description, and some of the descriptions are very short and do not tell everything about the episode, just what I remember. I have not seen many of the episodes more than once and so they are either very foggy in my memory or forgotten)
All episodes are 1 hour except for the movie. Things denoted within [] are features during the opening of the show (i.e. before the credits).
Blue Moon girl Maddie Hayes wakes to find her accountant has run off with all her money. The only things she is left are her house, BMW and the City of Angels Detective Agency, a tax write-off. When she decides to close down the Agency and fire everyone, David Addison talks her into trying a case out first. The case? Find missing diamonds.
David, in a desperate attempt to get a client, takes on a case of an old man wanting to find his son. It turns out that the client is a hired gun who is out to get the man hired to kill him.
Maddie and David are hired to find a security leak in a research institute. Is the leak due to a psychic reading their minds?
David searches for a stolen Rolodex while Maddie is wined and dined by Lou Holtz who runs a large investigation agency. Lou wants to buy out Blue Moon but David has other ideas.
David's old flame comes to town and involves him in a murder. Is she innocent or guilty?
David and Maddie are hired to find a man's wife, who just died!!
David is hired to witness a man's murder, but did David kill the man himself? David becomes a fugitive while Maddie solves the mystery.
Agnes gets involved in her own mystery after going to a detective's dance, in this spoof of Hitchcock movies.
This episode contains 2 dream sequences, one from Maddie and one from David as they dream about a murder from the 1930's. Maddie and David perform in a big band (Maddie sings!). One of the best episodes, contains some steamy scenes of David and Maddie.
The wife of a magician hires Maddie and David to watch over the body of her newly deceased husband for fear that he will come back to life and kill her. When the body disappears, they discover that the wife is dead!
David becomes a super-detective after getting mob information from a hooker who gets the information from a guy who talks in his sleep.
Maddie's parents come to visit. Only, she discovers that her father has been cheating on her mother.
When a radio personality is killed on the air, David wants to take on the case for publicity. Maddie falls for the dead man who faked the whole thing while David gets drunk in a bar.
Agnes wins a mystery train ride, but Maddie and David get trapped on the train.

David's brother, Richard Addison, comes to visit. But where did he get all that money?
A woman, whose face had been burned by acid, wants David and Maddie to find the man who did it and tell him that she loves him.
A very funny episode spoofing Christmas episodes on tv shows. This one comes with everything including a baby, 3 Kings and even a Camel! One of the best episodes.
An artist paints a portrait of Maddie before he is killed. The painting is a clue to where he hid a stolen museum painting.
Maddie tells David to shape up and quit his wise cracking. So, he tries to stop. In the meantime, they are hired to protect a pianist after he fakes his own kidnapping to get money.
Maddie and David are hired to find a wife for a man. What they don't know is that he plans on killing his wife for the insurance money.
David and Maddie stumble onto an assassination plot while working for a repossession company. The episode ends with a pie fight and also has a great Dr. Seuss like rhyming conversation towards the end.
Maddie finds out that her ex-accountant who ripped her off is living very nicely in Buenos Aires. She goes down there to get her money back and David follows.
This episode ended the first season and had Whoopi Goldberg guest starring as Camille, a con woman who saves the govonor's life (or mayor or someone important). Judd Nelson stars as a bunco cop tracking her.
David's dad is getting married -- to a woman that David has slept with!!
Is a husband's dead wife out to kill him? Maddie and David disagree over taking the case but solve it anyways.
Maddie and David decide to try a date. Maddie wants to go to the symphony, only the scalped tickets that David buys were intended for an assassin. Then, on David's date, they go boxing to stop the assassin.
A woman who has been having an affair through the mail asks David and Maddie to help her break it off. What they don't know is that the woman's husband set the whole thing up in the first place.
A priest hires Maddie and David to find the woman he wants to marry
David was once married!! David goes to NY to attend the funeral of his ex-brother-in-law. Maddie follows. There is a great dream sequence featuring Billy Joel singing the title song (Big Man...)
In what is undoubtedly the best Moonlighting ever, the cast spoof Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew".
Another Christmas episode, this time with Maddie playing the role in "It's a Wonderful Life" wishing she had never kept the agency going.
No new Moonlighting again? Whats the deal? Rona Barrett goes behind the scenes in this spoof of Moonlighing itself. Rona interviews the characters and shows lots of old clips.
Agnes gets her own case as she and Burt try to solve a haunted house mystery.
Maddie gets restless and goes out for a night on the town -- without David. David is jealous and attempts to follow her but winds up following another blond (Donna Dixon). He stumbles into a murder. While in jail, the blond talks David into making a commitment with Maddie. The episode ends as David goes to confront Maddie only to be surprised by another man answering her door!
Sam is the other man of course, he is an astronaut. Immediately sparks fly between Sam and Dave. This is the first of 3 episodes involving Sam.
After feeling threatened by David, Sam asks Maddie to marry him. Only, Maddie doesn't want to get married -- to either Sam or Dave.
Sam and Dave have it out. Sam leaves and David finally makes it with Maddie. Last scene shows them boinking all over the floor.
The next morning, Maddie wakes up feeling guilty and wants to forget about the whole thing. A woman hires them to discover if a man really wants to marry her or if he only wants her father's money.
Lots of dream sequences in this episode long fight between David and Maddie. Contains clips of the cast playing the Honeymooners. Episode ends with Maddie on a plane to Chicago.
David and Burt take on a case while Maddie is in Chicago. She is pregnant but doesn't know if Sam or David is the father. This episode has a great little claymation sequence followed by David trashing the BMW.
David and Burt take on another case. Maddie stays at her parents. Not much of an episode.
Maddie is in Chicago. She finds out she is pregnant. Maddie leaves a message on Agnes' phone machine that she is pregnant.
Agnes and Herbert open the show. Agnes tells Burt who immediately tells David. David goes to the airport to fly out to Chicago but while waiting in the bar, gets switched with a prisoner on his way to jail.
While David is in jail, he comes across an escape plot. The escape fails but turns into a riot. David saves the day by changing the riot into a huge party. After this, he is released.
While David and Maddie were both away, Blue Moon falls apart. The furniture is repossessed and the employees mutiny against Burt's new rule. Maddie's father finds out that Maddie is pregnant and flies to LA to confront David who is fresh out of jail. After explaining to Maddie's father that Maddie was the one who ran off and didn't want anything to do with David, Maddie's father gives David money to get Blue Moon back on its feet.
[A man just out of a coma wants to know "What's been happening on Moonlighting? -- clips are shown] (not on LifeTime repeats) Agnes's mother comes to visit and gets them involved in a case.
David gets involved with a pregnant woman so that he can learn about the childbirth process in case Maddie returns. Meanwhile, Maddie's parents throw a party in an attempt to fix her up with a Doctor.
Maddie returns to LA, but on the way into town she marries a stranger.
Maddie and David investigate a married man's other woman and stumble into a murder mystery.
Maddie gets rid of her husband (he exits with a look at the camera and says "There, are you happy now?"). Maddie and David are hired to find a woman that a businessman's partner has fallen in love with which has caused the business to fall apart. [The episode ends with Burt singing Money Money since the episode ended with extra time]
A trip inside of Maddie's womb lets us see the unborn baby (played by David) as he gets an education about the world he will be born into. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), the baby dies (but little baby David gets a chance at still being born as a baby is needed for the Cosby Show!!)
David throws a huge wedding and his LaMaz partner gives birth. Great ending.
Bert and Agnes. Casablanca. Lawrence of Arabia. No Maddie or David.
Maddie and David are hired by a battered woman to find her husband.
Trying to recover from the baby dying, both David and Maddie immerse themselves in work rather than facing up to their feelings. But then they get stuck in the elevator together and their feelings come out. They take on a case and it ends with a balloon ride with David sitting on top of the balloon.
A man who was disfigured due to plastic surgery hires Maddie and David to find evidence for malpractice. Maddie checks out the surgeon while David checks out some of the surgeon's works of art (including his secretary). When the surgeon is found murdered, who killed him? -- The butler did it!!
Maddie and the girls help out a businesswoman while David and the guys help out the woman's husband, both of whom are executives for a large corporation and both of whom want to take over the corporation. Typical battle of the sexes type episode.
After a divorce attourney has a heart attack, she reconsiders her ways and hires Maddie and David to bring together a couple she has been hired to help get a divorce settlement for.
A man dies in Maddie's office which involves them in a case. Unfortunately, the corpse seems to get dragged along with them.
Richard Addison comes to visit and David becomes a male model to help solve a case. White Bear Lake, MN
The group tries to stall while David attempts to solve the case. Burt must give a very painful press conference.
Maddie finds out David is sleeping with her cousin, Virginia Madsen. David finds out her cousin is married. "To Be Continued..."
Agnes goes on jury duty while Burt goes to his family reunion. He is pressured about a wife or fiancee and tells everyone that he and Agnes are getting married. He winds up getting involved in the case that Agnes is involved with and he breaks into the courtroom at the last minute to solve the case and save the day.
Maddie witnesses a murder and escapes with her life, she hires a body guard to protect her. David meets a friend of Maddie's and they start having a romance.
David and Maddie's friend continue their affair but David decides it is getting too serious and fakes a romance with one of the girls from the office to get rid of Maddie's friend. Agnes and Burt get engaged. In the meantime, Maddie and David solve a case only to find out that there are 10 minutes left in the show's lifespan as it has been cancelled. They try to get married but run out of time. It ends with some clips of the show.
