Hack-Man's Geocaching

[HACK] Amazing Lake View (placed on 2008/08/11)

This is a small sized cache (on the large side of "medium", but not quite "regular").

The cache is an ammo container wedged under a pile of rocks to keep it from flooding away in the harsh Montana winters. Cache contains a pencil, logbook, and a $50 bill for the First To Find prize. Container can hold small tradeable items. I was hoping to find the cache on Granite while hiding this, but after crossing the Froze-To-Death Plateau (from the West Rosebud/Mystic Lake direction) I (and Scott & David) no longer had enough energy--so we settled for Tempest (12,500 feet) and then slid down the snow to hide this cache and set up the tent for the night between these two gorgeous, deep, turquoise lakes. The lakes are right next to each other, but the lower one is 200 feet below the upper one, with a nice waterfall between them.
